Ælfgythe are a Border Morris side based in the village of Alvechurch, Worcestershire.
All our dancers are women, and we have men and women musicians.
We get together to dance and play music and, mainly, to have fun! Dancing is a fantastic way of improving fitness levels, reducing stress and keeping the mind active. Learning new moves and working as part of a team can be really satisfying. We go to various festivals throughout the season and also dance out at local venues. We host our own Wassail each year in Alvechurch at the beginning of February (See our Events page for more details).
